Creating a Release page

To create a Release page, you need to click "Create a Bandlink" and select Release.

Release page setup

Main Tab

When you add your iTunes release link, our service will automatically do the following::

  • fill in the artist name field;
  • fill in the release name field;
  • upload the release cover;
  • add a release link to Apple Music;
  • turn on the iTunes preview player;
  • check the artist in the Bandtraq.com database and, if the artist is found, it will fill in official links in the Social tab.

If you do not have your release on iTunes, you need to check the "No iTunes link" box. In this case, all information about the artist and release (including official links in the Social tab) have to be entered manually, and the release cover has to be uploaded from your computer. The iTunes preview player will not be available in this case.

With the help of the "Add link" button you can add release links to other popular digital venues. When adding a link, be sure to use the full URL starting with http:// or https://.

You can change the order of release links using the button.

If the link to the digital store you are using is not automatically recognized, let us know about it via the support form.

You can also add a link to a YouTube video. The video will be displayed on the Release page below the release name. You can turn it off by disabling the "Show video" setting.

The "Show iTunes preview" setting is only available when you entered your iTunes release link.

The "Enable the dark theme" setting allows you to choose the dark theme style for your Release page.

Turning on the "Enable discography" setting automatically interlinks Release pages of one artist with each other, if they are created by the same user. In order for this feature to function, you need to have at least one link field in the Social tab of your Release pages filled (it works even if the display of the official links and the News tab is disabled).

In addition to the automatically generated link, you can choose a custom URL alias (4-25 characters long).

Paid users can also add individual subdomains (such as yourname.band.link) and domains (such as yourname.com).

The "Copy" button allows you to quickly copy the corresponding link to the clipboard.

All changes can be seen immediately in the "Preview" window.

Social Tab

Here you can add links to your official social accounts (Facebook, VK.com, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and official website). The links will be displayed at the bottom of the Release page. Latest posts from social networks will be automatically aggregated in the News tab at the top of the Release page.

If the artist's name was found in the Bandtraq.com database, then some of the fields in the Social tab will be already filled automatically. If the artist is not in the database or you did not use the iTunes link, these fields will have to be filled in manually. In this case, the link in the “Bandtraq link” field will be generated automatically (it is mandatory for the news feed to function).

When adding links, be sure to use the full URL starting with http:// or https://.

The "Enable Newsfeed" setting allows you to enable newsfeed tab on the Release page. The News tab aggregates latest posts from the official social networks (except for the official website and Instagram). With the help of the switch, you can turn off news aggregation from individual social networks.

The "Enable official links" setting allows you to turn on / off displaying your official links at the bottom of the Release page.
